Tottenham announced that Ben Davies signed a new one-year deal the club this week whilst first team regular Yves Bissouma would depart once his contract expired in the summer.
Under-21 players Pele Arganese-McDermott, Tyrell Ashcroft, Dante Cassanova, Matthew Craig and Calum Logan all join Bissouma in departing as they seek new clubs ahead of next season.
Also released was Leo Black, an England U19 international who has played around 100 matches for the U21s and U18s over recent years. He released a statement on Thursday, one day after the news broke that he would be released.
"After 12 years at this amazing club, my time has come to an end. A place I’m proud to call my second home," Black said on social media.
"Being part of this club has helped shape who I am today, and I will always look back on my time here with gratitude. Thank you for investing your time, energy, and care in helping me progress and I wish everyone nothing but the best for the future."
Stars from the first team were quick to respond to Black’s post as they supported the 20 year old during what is a tough time.
Destiny Udogie posted: "Baller!".
Mikey Moore responded "All the best mate"
Mason Melia also posted "All the best brother".
Damola Ajay said: “My guy man”
Finally, James Roswell stated: “All the best bro”
Hull City and Birmingham City are said to be interested in Black who will have a range of options ahead of the new season.
