Now, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, El Mala has informed the Premier League side that he will not be making the move.
He adds that contrary to other reports, El Mala never reached an agreement with Brentford over personal terms, and his future is now very much in the air.
Fellow Premier League sides Chelsea and Brighton have previously been linked with the winger, who scored 13 goals in 36 games last season.
