Rosenior described Chelsea's 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night as "indefensible" as his side fell further away from the Champions League spots.
This was Chelsea’s fifth consecutive league defeat without scoring and now the club sit 7th in the Premier League, 7 points away from 5th place Liverpool.
Reports earlier this month stated that Rosenior would be given at least a year to find his feet with The Blues, even if the side failed to find success this season.
Chelsea are in crisis mode once again and the English coach may be let go sooner than expected as reported by journalist Ben Jacobs on Wednesday afternoon.
“Chelsea are weighing up the future of Liam Rosenior following the dismal loss to Brighton.
“Chelsea had hoped to judge Rosenior in years not weeks, but he is now fighting to save his job. Senior leadership discussing next steps today in a fluid situation.”
Goals from Ferdi Kadioglu, Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck made Chelsea looked clueless once more as Rosenior’s side who were without Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro were blown away.
Rosenior's outfit have collected just five points from their last nine fixtures and the board may seek to cut their losses sooner than later.
