Arteta called Arsenal's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon the "most valuable win of the season" as they extended their lead at the top of the table to four points clear.
Arsenal have won 11 out of 13 games in all competitions this season and simply put they look incredible. Title rivals Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea all lost over the weekend also, boosting their chances of pushing for their first title since 2003 even more.
Speaking in the latest episode of The Wayne Rooney Show, Rooney suggested that if the title is not won by the end of the season, then it may spell the end of Arteta in North London.
"The squad is good enough now and I think they've had the experiences which have got them close, but I think they're ready for it.
"If they don't win it now, you'd probably see a change of manager."
Former Manchester City star turned pundit Micah Richard also commented on the Gunners’ title chances and revealed how surprised he is to see Liverpool fall out of place.
“Arsenal are finding ways to win games, and that’s why they have a strong case for winning the Premier League.
“I never quite believed it with Liverpool’s squad and their transfer window but now I you look at Arsenal and they don’t give teams opportunities, they just don’t. They look like a well-oiled machine.”
Arsenal face Brighton in the EFL Cup before facing Burnley in the league and Slavia Prague in the Champions League. The fixtures look easy enough for Arteta’s side, who many believe will continue their unstoppable run for the foreseeable future.
