The Lewis family released a statement on Thursday evening about the decision.

The Times says was Levy only told that morning during a meeting. The decision came as a shock to Levy, who had meetings scheduled for Friday.

The players and staff were informed at the time of the media release, with new chief executive, Vinai Venkatesham, sending an internal email to all concerned.
