Newcastle United fullback Kieran Trippier says he's ready to end his international retirement for England's World Cup campaign next summer.

Trippier retired from England duty after Euro 2024, but he now says he'd welcome a return should coach Thomas Tuchel make contact.

He  told Sky Sports: "I made a decision to retire from it. I thought it was the right time. But of course I miss it. I miss the banter, the lads and the staff. Never say never.

"He is a top, top coach. I have spoken to him a few times and met him as well. He has got the boys playing. England have won eight out of eight and didn't concede a goal.

"Who knows? We have been so close over many years. Hopefully, he can be the right man to bring the trophy home."
