At the time, it was suggested the Argentine wouldn't been seen again until 2026.
However, the Manchester Evening News says Lisandro is now back at Carrington doing individual training in a clear sign his recovery is on schedule.
United sources won't put a date on his playing return and also insist the defender's comeback will not be rushed.
Lisandro is now heading into his fourth season with United since his arrival from Ajax.
