The Sun says United have tempted Darren Hughes from City to become their new Head of Academy Football Development and Methodology.

Hughes has been with City for 12 years in a number of roles ahead of taking the head of coaching.
He helped bring through the likes of Cole Palmer, Oscar Bobb and Nico O’Reilly at City. Hughes also had seven years inside Liverpool’s academy, working with the likes of Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah.
United academy director Stephen Torpey, who only arrived in September, drove the move for Hughes. Torpey joined United last year from Brentford.
