PSG won the first-leg of their quarterfinal 2-0 through goals from Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Enrique told Canal+ afterwards: “We produced a performance that lived up to the one provided by our supporters. It was an incredible atmosphere, an incredible performance. We deserved more goals. We’re a bit disappointed not to have scored more, but this is the UEFA Champions League.
"I thought we produced a great performance against a top opponent. They changed their system against us, but we’re used to that. Most sides adapt their style to play us. I think we could have scored more goals, especially given our dominance in the second half."
On scoring twice on the night, Enrique also said: "There’s no frustration, it’s football. You have to accept it and recognise that we produced a great performance against a top side such as Liverpool. We had patience, and we were clear in our thoughts. We were able to showcase how good our supporters are. We’re really happy about what we were able to show this evening."
The PSG coach then looked towards the second-leg at Liverpool.
"There’s no difference in level," he continued. "Today we played a really top game, but we know it’s going to be incredibly difficult to play at Anfield. We’ll suffer, but these are the moments where you have to be vigilant. It’ll be difficult, but our mindset is the same, regardless of the stadium. We’ll be going there to win.
"We have to want to go there and win, and in order to do so, we'll have to score goals. Going there to defend this result is not in our mentality. We’ll prepare for the match in the best way possible, but we know we’ll have to suffer."
