Liverpool and Alisson take up contract option

The Liverpool Echo says the Reds have taken up the option in Alisson's deal which will keep him at Anfield until 2027.

The Brazil international had signed a five-year deal with Liverpool in 2021 with an option for another year.

Speaking to WinWin on Saturday evening, Alisson's agent Ze Maria Ness confirmed the news by stating: "We have just renewed the contract with Liverpool."

Now 33, Alisson's new deal will see him complete nine years with Liverpool. He joined in 2018 from Roma for a fee of £65m.
