Klopp key as Swansea turn to Maritimo coach Matos

Matos is expected to be named the new manager of Swansea City, reports A Bola, with the agreement a done deal.

The relegation-threatened Championship club is triggering the release clause of the CS Marítimo manager.

According to the newspaper, Klopp was involved.

The global sporting director of Red Bull recommended Matos to Swansea's board. Manos worked under Klopp as a youth coach at Liverpool from 2019 to 2024.
