The 25-year-old joined Brighton back in the summer of 2024 following an impressive two-year spell with Scottish giants Celtic.
O’Riley has failed to make much of an impact with the Premier League side, however, and was shipped out on to Marseille for the first half of last season before being recalled in January.
According to Sky Sports, Brighton could look to offload the midfielder before the end of the transfer window as interest mounts.
O’Riley had been ill throughout much of Brighton’s pre-season and missed a good chunk of Fabian Hurzeler’s preparations.
He has now returned to fitness, with French side Lyon one of several clubs to have made an approach over a loan or permanent move.
