Spurs are in the midst of a relegation battle, and with six games to go, find themselves two points from safety as new manager Roberto De Zerbi tries to save the side from dropping to the Championship.
Tottenham are yet to win a Premier League match in 2026 and all signs points towards them dropping down as fans fear the worst.
Barry spoke to BOYLE Sports, who offer the latest football odds about how despite the dark cloud above the club, the silver lining is that fans may enjoy the atmosphere in the Championship.
“So, yeah, I do fear for Spurs. I was confident a couple of weeks ago they could get out of it, but it's not a pretty place to be.
“There will be some tough times and difficult periods for Spurs if they were to go down, but I would expect them to come straight back up. It would be a different experience for the fans, but knowing what football fans are like, they'll make the most of it and have a good time at certain away grounds.
“I should imagine the opposition coming to the Spurs stadium would be incredible for some of the fans of the Championship teams.
“Potential interesting times ahead with a massive club like Spurs. Personally, I love to see the history, and Spurs are still one of the only, is it six clubs, that have never been relegated? It'd be sad to lose another one of those. But someone's got to go.”
De Zerbi faces his former side Brighton this weekend as his side attempt to collect a vital 3 points. Another loss would see them stay in the relegation zone as team around them like West Ham and Nottingham Forest continue to move ahead.
