“I think in the tight first half we were the better side, we were pretty close also with the shot against the crossbar and in some other situations, especially also in the counter-attack, we looked sharp also in the beginning of the second half.
“If you then concede such a heartbreaking goal, you just have to feel for the lads. I am pretty proud of our performance.
“I am pretty proud of what we did today, proud of the players’ performance after not the easiest couple of weeks with also many players struggling with little knocks and hits and injuries.
“I have no critical words, just compliments for this performance but sometimes you have to accept football is like this and can be cruel, and sometimes you are on the lucky side.
“Everyone knows this but it is football. Sometimes you are on the lucky side, sometimes you are on the unlucky side.
“On the first game day, we won the game in the 80 plus minute against Everton with the late penalty. Today with the late own goal we lost the game. It is heartbreaking today so we won’t dwell on it.”
