Chelsea’s pursuit of Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly being held up due to the club not yet finding a permanent home for Christopher Nkunku.

According to The Sun, Chelsea’s ‘steep’ asking price for the 27-year-old is stopping them from making more signings this summer.

It’s understood that Enzo Maresca’s side value Nkunku at £50 million and recently rejected a loan bid from Bayern Munich for the forward.

Chelsea’s reluctance to lower that asking price is the main factor as to why Garnacho hasn’t made the move from Man United.

United value Garnacho at £50 million, although Chelsea are hoping to get a deal for the Argentina international done for closer to £30 million.

Garnacho is pushing for a move to Stamford Bridge and ‘only wants’ to join Chelsea with talks between the two clubs ongoing.
