According to O JOGO, the two clubs are getting closer to agreeing a deal that would see the 25-year-old return to Lisbon, six years after leaving to join Atletico Madrid.
Benfica have offered around €20 million for 50 per cent of the Felix’s rights, a figure the Chelsea are now open to accepting despite initially requesting €30m.
The Premier League are now demanding that Benfica commit to buying the remaining 50% of his rights in the near future as they seek to recoup some of the fee they spent to sign him, however.
The report adds that Felix is pushing for the move back to Benfica and has agreed to reduce his annual salary to around €3 million.
