Quenda will have surgery in England next Monday, with recovery expected to keep him sidelined for at least two months.
While the procedure is overseen by the Premier League side, his rehabilitation will continue under Sporting’s supervision in Lisbon, with the Blues monitoring his progress closely.
Quenda had been linked with Manchester United earlier, but the Red Devils stepped back due to his €60 million valuation and the prior signing of Patrick Dorgu.
