Enzo Maresca’s side have been pushing to sign the 19-year-old for the past week and have now reached a ‘total agreement’ with Ajax over a move.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Chelsea will pay a fee of over €40 million for Hato, with the deal including a sell-on clause.
He adds that Hato will sign a seven-year deal at the West London club, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2032.
Hato is capable of playing both as a left-back and a centre-back and is widely expected to be the understudy to Marc Cucurella.
