Liverpool and Brighton both dropped points against Leeds United and West Ham United respectively last weekend and will be hope to return to winning ways as the two sides clash at Anfield.

In a huge boost for Hurzeler and his side, Mitoma is back. The Japanese international has been absent since the 3-1 win at Chelsea on September 27th with an ankle injury but will star once more under the lights at Anfield.

Speaking at the training ground on Friday morning, Hurzeler said:

“He overcame the pain issue, and he trained well this week, so he will be an option. I think it's important to have availability, but much more important is to keep the availability.

“So having the availability for one game is good, but it has to be like a consistency. It has to be like through the whole phase of this amount of games through this period.

“It is just important to keep the availability, not only one game, so therefore we try to keep working hard for them.

“But it's a really good start, that we have this availability back, and now we have to do everything we can to keep pushing through this phase of the season.”

Hurzeler admitted that his Brighton side “did not deserve” more than a point against West Ham last week after a lack of creativity. Mitoma’s return should help the Seagulls push for 3 points against the Reds, whose form has been mixed to say the least.
