The Cherries strengthened their hopes of finishing in the Premier League’s European places with a hard-fought win with the Brazil international netting the winner.
Speaking after the match, the teenager admitted the result was significant for the club’s ambitions this season.
“We’re so happy about this win today because it means going further up the table, closer to finishing in those European positions,” he told the Premier League website.
“I’m so happy I was able to help the team with my goal, grateful to God for the three points today.”
Rayan also praised the impact of Bournemouth’s manager Andoni Iraola for helping him settle quickly at the club and improve his performances.
“The manager has helped me so much since I joined the club, really welcomed me in and I think that’s what is making the difference for me, my relationship with him.”
