The winger exchanged words with Bournemouth fans during the 1-0 reverse.
Asked about the incident, Iraola said: “I don't know if he said something or just looked at the supporters.
“But I know the action that you are talking about. I think I understand Tav in the sense that he has done a great effort.
“I think he plays one or two passes against Evanilson, comes from very far and probably in that moment he's dead and he wants to secure the possession but he makes, I think, the mistake.
“You have to focus on the pitch and you have to focus on the ball, on the play.
“You cannot start focusing outside. I think it's clear, especially in the moments where we are not playing well, we are not finding the good performances, we appreciate a lot.
“That's why at the end of the game I appreciate a lot the people that clapped us, even the other day against Sunderland, because when you are not winning, you are not having the good moments is when you appreciate more the ones that have been behind us.”
