The legendary Black Sabbath frontman was a lifelong Aston Villa fan, playing his final show in front of 42,000 fans at Villa Park last week.
Osbourne, and his bandmates, also featured in Villa’s 2024-25 kit home kit reveal announcement video last year.
Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, the club paid tribute to Osbourne and his “special connection to the club and the community.”
The statement said: “Aston Villa Football Club is saddened to learn that world-renowned rockstar and Villan, Ozzy Osbourne has passed away.
“Growing up in Aston, not far from Villa Park, Ozzy always held a special connection to the club and the community he came from.
“The thoughts of everyone at Aston Villa are with his wife Sharon, his family, friends, and countless fans at this extremely difficult time.
“Rest in peace, Ozzy.”
