Tottenham's new head coach Igor Tudor faces baptism of fire against Arteta’s side who will be furious after dropping points against bottom of the league Wolves in midweek.
This is the first time that a north London derby has involved both the title and survival since 1934-35 as the two sides fight at opposite ends of the table.
Arsenal are ready to bounce back
Arsenal’s lead at the top will be reduced to just two points if Manchester City win their game in hand as Arteta first spoke on the reaction in the camp after collapsing against Wolves.
“What I have seen is a tremendous reaction and no surprise at all. When you lose points in a very unpredictable manner, is no one can really understand that.
“That was a chapter, chapter 27 says we draw against Wolves in this manner, what I am interested in is the next one. Writing our own destiny, life moves on.”
"Not enough to the standards that we required. It's a shock to the system. We wanted to get the victory, we couldn't, but we have to move on."
Tudor will be analysed
Next, Arteta was asked about Tudor and facing a side who could turn things around under a new manager after the sacking of Thomas Frank. The Spaniard joked that facing a new manager happens to often to him and his side ahead of what will be a tough derby.
"I think it has happened to us seven times to us this season. We will analyse what he's done in his career. But the main focus is on what we have to do to win the game.
"It's the one we have after, but it's the one we cannot wait to play. If we could play today, we would. But we will have to show on Sunday."
Finally, Arteta kept quiet on team news but revealed that Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz may be available: "We have to wait till tomorrow, there is a big possibility that they are available."
