Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is considering a defensive refresh this summer on the back of winning the Premier League title.

The Gunners activated their purchase clause on Piero Hincapie earlier this month following a stellar season-long loan spell from Bayer Leverkusen in 2025/26 and Jakub Kiwior has already moved on to Porto.

However, there is growing concern over While looking to move on from the Emirates Stadium, after being overtaken by Jurrien Timber as first-choice at right-back.

Timber missed out on 2026 FIFA World Cup duty with the Netherlands due to injury, but he's expected to be back for the start of the 2026/27 campaign, and that means White has a decision to make.

The England international is rumoured to be keen on a move to Europe over a Premier League switch, and reports from Teamtalk indicate Arteta has lined up as many as 11 targets to fill his role, including West Ham United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Wan-Bissaka has nine seasons of Premier League experience, split across his time with the Hammers, alongside spells at Crystal Palace and Manchester United, but West Ham's relegation could force a sale.

The DR Congo international has a reputation as one of the top-flight's best 1v1 full backs and that profile would fit perfectly with Arteta's brief if West Ham are willing to sell.

Wan-Bissaka is keen to remain in the Premier League, with Everton also interested in a deal, and West Ham could demand around £20M for the 28-year-old.
