Raya signed with Arsenal in 2023 and ousted Aaron Ramsdale from between the sticks in no time. Since his arrival, Raya has made 105 appearances in all competitions, keeping 45 clean sheets, and now he has been rewarded with a new deal.
This comes from The BBC who report that the agreement was struck earlier this summer but has not been officially announced by the club.
The Spaniard has seen his wage increase from £100,000-a-week, but his new wage has not been reported as of yet. The 30-year-old has won the Golden Glove award twice, and Arteta and his team were clearly keen on locking him down to a new deal.
He joins the likes of Leandro Trossard, William Saliba, Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Gabriel Magalhaes who have committed their future to The Gunners over the past year as Arteta builds a side for the future.
Raya has missed only six Premier League games and has played every top-flight minute since March 2024. He is now a nailed on starter for Arsenal and will be for the foreseeable after his improved deal.
