Ahead of tonight's clash with Newcastle, Amorim reflected on the past year in England.
"I wish I could go back to last year. We suffered a lot at the time and I wanted to do things completely differently," said Amorim.
He says he has learned more at United than in the five previous years as a coach.
"I've learned more this year than in the other five years as a coach. I want to do many things a different way, not only in general, but also in the field, in the way we play the game."
Amorim emphasises that he has spent a lot of time analysing previous matches to understand how he can make his team better.
"It's hard to point to one thing, but getting the full benefit of the squad I had last year may not always be the right choices.
"I've seen the fighting from last season to understand things in a different way."
Overall, the Portuguese believe he has become a better coach now than he was when he joined the job in November 2024. "I'm another coach today. I might want to do 75 percent of things differently, but the most important things the red lines will be the same. I think I'm a better coach now," concludes Amorim.
