The 27-year-old impressed during a loan spell with the Ligue 1 side in the second half of last season, making 10 appearances and providing two assists as Auxerre secured another year in the French top flight.
After discussions over extending his stay, the two clubs reached an agreement for another loan until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
As with his previous spell, the deal does not include an option to buy. Faivre becomes Auxerre’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
However, he will return to a changed setup, with former Southampton manager Will Still replacing Christophe Pélissier, who left the club following the conclusion of last season.
