A free transfer over the summer, Pogba has been working on his match fitness, though suffered a setback at the beginning of the month.

But after returning to training this week, Pogba could now make his much-anticipated debut on Saturday.

Pocognoli confirmed: "It's possible he'll be reinstated in the group. There's still a training session with a certain amount of work, but if he feels well, we'd be perfectly on track.

"It wouldn't be unreasonable to see him on the squad list."

Pogba's last competitive game was on September 3, 2023, for Juve.
