Daouda Guindo has completed a permanent move to Ligue 2 club Stade de Reims after leaving Stade Brestois following the expiration of his contract.

The 23-year-old Mali international joined Brest from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg last summer on a one-year deal and went on to make 26 appearances across all competitions, including 25 in Ligue 1.

During his sole season with Les Ty-Zefs, the left-back contributed one goal and one assist before opting against extending his stay.

Guindo has now signed a five-year contract with Reims, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2031.

He joins a side entering a new era under recently appointed head coach Nicolas Usai, who will aim to guide Reims back to Ligue 1 after the club failed to secure a promotion play-off place last season.
