The 30-year-old joined Leicester from boyhood club Tottenham back in 2023 and was expected to take the opportunity with both hands.

It didn’t work out that way, however, and Leicester have now been relegated to League One, just one season after dropping down to the Championship.
Winks has now left Leicester City to join Italian side Cagliari on a permanent, two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The midfielder has a history with Italian football, spending 2022-23 on loan with Sampdoria, where he made 20 appearances.
