Real Madrid fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold posted to social media after being dropped for the derby win against Atletico Madrid last night.

Marca says  the former Liverpool defender arrived late for one of last week's training sessions, with coach Alvaro Arbeloa punishing the player by leaving him on the bench for the match at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Captain Dani Carvajal took his place, but Trent eventually entered the field in the 64th minute and was key in the play that led to Vinicius' matchwinning goal minutes later.

Afterwards, Trent took to social media.

"Madrid and nothing else," the No12 posted in a carousel of photos, which prompted a response from Vini himself.

"My guy, T," the Brazilian wrote.
