Real Madrid's official media outlet is once again attacking the RFEF and LaLiga following the scheduling of fixtures and the Spanish governing body's refusal of Real Madrid's request to postpone the August 19 match against Osasuna due to Xabi Alonso's team's commitments to the Club World Cup in the United States.
"The 2025-26 LaLiga season is starting imperfectly, distorted, and manipulated," the Madrid channel declared.
The outlet cites statements reported by Marca of Miguel García Caba, a lawyer who has worked for Real Madrid, LaLiga, and the RFEF: "On July 9, 2025, José Alberto Peláez, the sole competition judge, received a request to postpone a Primera Division match. Urgent. Necessary. It wasn't a whim: it was to prevent the players, fresh from the Club World Cup, from playing without the slightest rest.
"The response arrived on July 31st. Twenty-two days later. Enough time to close the office, go on vacation, and let the matter gather dust. The urgency... ignored. Common sense... buried. What was signed wasn't a resolution: it was a criticism. A criticism of sports medicine. Of basic logic. Of the integrity of competition."
