The German tactician led Barca to a historic domestic treble by scooping the La Liga title, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.
Beginning 2026 with another Spanish Super Cup triumph, this time against Real Madrid, Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals by Atletico Madrid and are one win away from collecting a second successive La Liga title.
A two-trophy haul can still be regarded as a successful season for Flick, and his efforts are set to be rewarded with a new deal as his current one expires in 2027.
Barca president Joan Laporta already confirmed a new contract was on the horizon, and Flick's agent is currently working on increasing his stay until 2028, according to Fabrizio Romano.
"Hansi Flick’s agent Pini Zahavi, today in Barcelona to seal new contract for the German manager at Barca," he wrote on X.
"It’s expected to be valid until June 2028."
That will be music to the ears of many Barcelona supporters, who finally have some stability in the hotseat after five different managers took charge in four years.
