As such, Barca are considering replacements for the veteran centre-forward, which include Alvarez.
Masip, who acts as an advisor to Barca president Joan Laporta, told Solo para Culers: "I would say yes, he's a good replacement for Lewandowski.
"He's a fantastic player, a player with incredible quality, and he's having a great season at Atlético. Barça could handle that situation if it arose; I have no doubt that it would."
