Benfica players and fans were angered by the Brazilian’s celebration by the corner flag with Nicolas Otamendi confronting Vinicius Jr.

The two sets of players shoved each other, and just when it appeared everything had calmed down, Vinicius Jr ran to the referee to report something that rival winger Prestianni had said to him.

The referee stopped play for the racism protocol while Vinicius Jr sat on the bench refusing to play before the game eventually resumed ten minutes later.
