Roma have reportedly rejected an approach to sign France midfielder Manu Kone this summer.

With Aurelien Tchouameni sidelined by a muscle injury, Kone has proven pivotal for France at the World Cup this summer, attracting the attention of several top clubs.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with the midfielder over the past few weeks as each side prepares to make an offer to Roma who are seeking to keep the midfielder.

The Serie A side have informed interested clubs that the French international will only be allowed to leave if an offer of around £50.7M is submitted.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma have reportedly rejected a £33.8M bid for Kone this week. The report states that it was Atletico Madrid who launched the offer, making the situation difficult for the likes of Liverpool and United as the Spanish giants throw their hat in the ring.

United are seeking to rebuild their midfield this summer and want to sign at least two midfielders. With the deal for Atalanta star Ederson collapsing, they may match Roma’s asking price for Kone as they seek to beat the competition for him.

Kone made his France debut in September 2024 and despite playing 18 times for his country, the 25 year old is regarded as one of the best midfield talents that could help his side to the World Cup final with a win over Spain this Tuesday.
