The 18-year-old superstar has scored one goal so far at the WC under manager Luis de la Fuente, and has set his sights on a big performance against Belgium in tonight's quarter-final, per The Touchline.
Yamal said: "The closer we get to the final, the better I play. I have never been a player who is at his best in the group stage."
"I hadn't played for two months. It's not the same feeling. I need to keep playing, touching the ball. My big game in the World Cup is coming."
The Barcelona attacker arrived at the World Cup nursing a hamstring injury which limited his minutes during Spain's first few group games, but is now determined to help La Roja go all the way and lift the trophy this summer.
