The Cherries finished 12th in the Premier League, losing 2-1 to Chelsea on the final day.
However, they were only a point off vying for a top ten finish, which Christie believes was well within their grasp.

He told Premier League Productions: "I thought we played well. It was an open game and it didn't suit anyone in that heat. A draw would have suited everyone in the end but we got caught on the counter.
"My eyes lit up, I was planning my celebration and the slide tackle came out of nowhere. It wasn't to be in the end and we'll all go on our holidays now.
"It's a positive one. We could have finished top 10 so that's frustrating but it gives us something to focus on. We've had plenty of time under him (Andoni Iraola) now and pre-season will come around quick."
