Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou admits they need to strengthen their defence this summer.

This summer, a new centre-back is high on the shopping list.

"It is an area we will probably look at," said Postecoglou.

"It's about trying to strengthen the group as much as possible. If you think about when I came, we had maybe six or seven stoppers at the club.

"It's not just about the numbers, but more about the players' abilities to play the kind of football we want and fit into what we're trying to build here.

"I think this is an area we will look to strengthen, but I think we will look to strengthen ourselves across the pitch this summer. That plan has already been laid, and others are leading it at the moment."
