Salernitana have announced the appointment of new coach Stefano Colantuono.

Colantuono arrives after today's dismissal of Fabio Liverani.

Salernitana stated: "US Salernitana 1919 announces that it has relieved Mr. Fabio Liverani and his staff of their duties as First Team coach. In thanking him for the work carried out, the Company wishes the coach the best professional luck for the rest of his career. The Company also announces that it has entrusted the technical guidance of the first team to Mr. Stefano Colantuono.

"Colantuono, who has already led the Granata in the 2017/18 season and in Serie A in the 2021/22 season, boasts 243 benches in the top flight and will lead the team until the end of the season.

"The Club, certain of Mr. Colantuono's maximum commitment and dedication, bound by strong love and respect towards Salerno and Salernitana, intends to wish the coach good luck in his work for this final part of the season."

Colantuono has been in charge of Udinese and Torino in the past.
