Roma striker Abraham delighted with Napoli equaliser: I now have a new knee

AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham was delighted scoring in their 2-2 draw against Napoli.

Abraham struck the final equaliser for the point - his first goal since recovering from knee surgery last summer.

He told Roma's website, "A year waiting for this day. I suffered a bad injury, but the team has always been with me. Today I wanted to get on the pitch and help the team as much as possible: I made myself being in the right place and at the right time to score again. The important thing is the point and being ready for Thursday.

"We believed in it until the last second. Coming here is never easy, against a team that won the championship last year. We knew about the difficulties, but we reacted well: we never give up. This is the important thing, we take a point even if we're a little saddened by not winning. We'll take it and move on.

"I'm a boy who loves playing football. Now I have a new knee, which I had to retrain after the operation. I feel fit, I just hope to help the team as much as possible between now and the end of the season."
