Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to have granted a request from his players.

Pochettino was informed of the wishes of his players to include Thiago Silva in the team against Sheffield United.

While Silva did get on the scoresheet, the Blues also drew the game 2-2 to pile more pressure on their beleaguered manager.

Per The Express and Telegraph, Chelsea players had to talk to Pochettino to get him to play Silva.

They were concerned about how weak the team has been defensively in recent games.

However, the introduction of the veteran did not appear to make the situation much better.
