Real Madrid midfielder Bellingham: We didn't play our best for RB Leipzig draw

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is happy to be in the Champions League round 16.

A 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig saw Real reach the quarterfinal 2-1 on aggregate.

Bellingham later said: "Leipzig are a good team, they played very well both here and in the first leg. We had to be patient, stay in the game and in the end we had our chance and we took it. It wasn't our best game but we passed the turn and that's the most important thing."

Bellingham laid on Vinicius Jr's goal, but insisted: "Did I solve it? In reality I just want to make my contribution for the team.

"As a collective we weren't at our best, and I personally wasn't at my best either, but in the end you find opportunities to help the team win the game: I just had to give the ball to Vinicius and he did the rest, he is an exceptional player."
