Newcastle United are tracking RB Leipzig defender Mohamed Simakan.
Sky Deutschland says Newcastle are weighing up a summer move for Simakan.
The Toon are in the market for a new centre-half with major injuries suffered by centre-backs Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman.
A former France U21 international, Simakan has a deal with RBL to 2027.
He feels ready to leave this summer and his deal carries a buyout clause of €70m.
