Naby Keita hits out at Werder Bremen management: I won't accept my career being destroyed

Naby Keita has hit out at Werder Bremen management.

It was claimed the former Liverpool midfielder refused to board the team bus for the game against Bayer Leverkusen after learning he wasn't in the starting XI.

But Keita has now posted to social media: "Since the first day I signed for this fantastic club, I have always worked selflessly and professionally.

"My only desire has always been to help the club and bring joy to the many fans, especially at a time when the results are not what we would like them to be.

"Since the beginning of my career, I have never had problems with discipline, regardless of where I have been, and I have always tried to be a role model.

"I will therefore not accept that someone destroys my reputation. To the fans: You must know that I fight every training session so that I can make you happy every weekend."
