Manchester City ace Erling Haaland has joked with Lionel Messi: 'it's time to retire'.

Haaland feels he won't ever get the recognition he deserves until the Inter Miami star hangs up the boots.

He said: "I won a lot of tournaments last season.

"But I'm only 23 years old, so I want to win it all again. Messi is the best to ever play. Maybe he already needs to end his career so that someone else can become the best player."

The 23-year-old won the Premier League title, the League Cup, the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup with City in the 2022/23 season.
