Liverpool youngster Carvalho: RB Leipzig spell hit confidence

While he failed to make the grade at RB Leipzig in the first part of the campaign, his spell at Hull City in the Championship was a roaring success.

Speaking to The Mirror, Carvalho says: "I went to Leipzig as I thought it was the best position for me at the time.

"If I'm being honest, when I was there my confidence was low. I was playing five minutes here and there and it wasn't enough.

Then when I did step on the pitch I didn't really know what I was doing because my confidence was (gone)."
