Liverpool defender Quansah makes social media change after Man Utd howler

Liverpool defender Jarrell Quansah has taken action on his social media account.

The young centre half, whose mistake allowed for a Manchester United goal in a 2-2 draw on Sunday, has limited comments on his Instagram.

Quansah inadvertently assisted Bruno Fernandes' equaliser to make it 1-1, with the Reds eventually having to settle for a point in the Premier League contest.

The 21-year-old, who has around 500,000 followers, may have been receiving hate messages from supporters.

His Instagram posts show a small message in the footer, which states: "Comments on this post have been limited".

After the game, Reds coach Jurgen Klopp defender his player, stating: “As a football player in the Premier League and playing for Liverpool, I have the bad news - it will not be the last mistake in his life, unfortunately.

“I thought he dealt extremely well with it, we dealt well with it. But when our idols in the past made these kinds of mistakes there was no social media so I hope he's smart enough to switch that off.

“It's not a great situation but there are bigger mistakes in football. Absolutely no blame or criticism, not at all, it just happened. He will learn from it and that's the best thing that can happen."
