West Ham United may have stolen a march on Liverpool in the hunt for a sought after manager.

Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim is in England to hold talks with the Hammers' hierarchy.

With West Ham replacing David Moyes, they may get Amorim ahead of Liverpool, who want a Jurgen Klopp replacement.

Per The Athletic, Amorim is considering the West Ham offer and may very well accept.

The Reds are now said to have alternatives, with Amorim to Anfield deemed unlikely.

Arne Slot of Feyenoord is now 3/1 with bookmakers to take the job in the summer.
