Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano says he's spoken to the board about his contract situation.

Italiano's current deal expires at the end of the season, though includes a 12-month option should Fiorentina qualify for Europe.

The coach said: "I have spoken about it with the club and the club is aware of my thoughts.

"Now we must remain focused on our objectives and on remaining attached to all competitions. Then we will see later. I would sign up to win a trophy and give the president a cup.

"I hope to get as high as possible at the end of the season, winning a trophy would be nice to be able to dedicate it to the president."
